What do we grow at Hickok Farms? We primarily grow foods for our own use and enjoyment, but as we’ve scaled up, we’ve become market farmers. Our farm consists of a 1/2 acre field for row crops where we primarily grow beans, barley, and oats, a 3000 square foot kitchen garden, an almost entirely edible landscape, a meadow for pollinators, herbs, and edibles, and a small espalier apple orchard.

The Orchard

Our orchard and perimeter trees are still young, but we are looking to bountiful harvests in upcoming years.

The Kitchen Garden

The kitchen garden has grown over time to supply our household with an abundance of food.

Edible Landscape

Our edible and medicinal landscaping replaces ornamental plants with useful plants that are just as beautiful, more durable, and fun.

Row Crops

We grow a variety of row crops using a combination of classic and regenerative farming practices. Our crops include a wide range of beans, barley, oats and corn.
